Rockhounding
Trout Lake and the Trout Lake Moraine are a Rockhounder's dream come true. Glaciers scrapped the Earth exposing Precambrian Canadian Shield Rock, which is littered with rare minerals and semi-precious gemstones. You just have to walk along the shore to find all kinds of nice rocks full of minerals, which look great when polished.
The Trout Lake Moraine, which was formed at the end of the last ice age, has tons of rocks that have been carried from thousands of miles away and contain some big surprises.
