Northern Ontario Wildlife Photography Expeditions
Ontario Wildlife Photography

Ontario is one of the top wildlife photography destinations in the world as the boreal forest of Northwestern Ontario is host to hundreds of species of animals, fish, insects and amphibians.

Commonly seen species are Moose, Black Bear, Bald Eagles, Raccoons, Beavers, Muskrats, Loons, Minks, Porcupines, grouse and multiple breeds of waterfowl.

Shy species are Lynx, Wolf, Fisher, Otter, Great Horned Owl, Snowy Owl and Pine Martins. Cougars are making a comeback in Ontario but are still extremely rare.

The exceptionally clean air and low humidity keeps camera and video equipment running smoothly and perfect for professional telescopic photography due to the absence of heat waves and nodal effects.
